Alpha Eta Initiation: CONGRATULATIONS Alpha Etas!! We are all so proud to call you our brothers!

Academic Bowl:TODAY (Tuesday, March 30th) at 7pm in the Ferguson M&T Hall. Thanks to Louisa A., we have a motto: “I think, therefore I am… an APO brother!” Bring bright banners and lots of energy to support APO!!!! Let’s show CNU how smart we are and win $200!!

Letter Making Party: THIS WEDNESDAY from 6-8pm in the first floor MPR of JR. Bring fabrics, shirts, Heat ‘n’ Bond, scissors, and anything else you may want to put together! An ironing board will be available for you to use.

Constitutional Review: **MANDATORY FOR ALL BROTHERS**

NEXT TUESDAY (April 6th)
at 7pm in the Washington Room. Instead of going through every line of the constitution, we will only be reviewing the parts that you, as the fraternity, deem necessary. If there is something that you would like to change in the constitution, contact Hanna S. via email by Monday, April 5th or she will not review during the scheduled time. You must tell her the exact section of the constitution or other manual you would like to review and what you suggest it be changed to (you may request to review something without suggestions of change). Hanna asks that you be as specific as possible to make this process as painless as possible. Our constitution can be found through the APO website (http://clubs.users.cnu.edu/apo/). Email Lindsay S. if you will be unable to attend this event due to extenuating circumstances (such as class or serious illness).

Hip-Hop Cupcakes: We are holding a “cupcake walk” in the David Student Union on Friday, April 9th from 11am–3pm. It will feature Easter decorations and 90s music! All brothers are asked to bake 12 cupcakes for this event. Bring cupcakes to Katelyn I. or Crystal Z.’s apartment on Thursday, April 8th or just bring them straight to the event! Please contact Crystal Z. by Thursday night if you are bring the cupcakes straight to the event. Cupcakes that don’t sell will be sold at Relay for Life. Please email Crystal Z. if you have any questions.

Big Paddles: If your big is graduating this May it is MANDATORY that you make them a paddle! Paddles must be given to Megan W. by Friday, April 9, 2010. The paddles will be presented at Senior Send-Off (April 18th). If anyone has any questions please contact Megan.

Blood Drive: We will be hosting another Blood Drive on April 16th!! Our goal this time is 80 pints, so start advertising and telling your friends about it now! IMPORTANT: If you signed up for an 11am table shift, BE THERE TO SET UP ON TIME or we will lose table privileges for next semester!

Sectionals: A few brothers are going to GMU for Sectionals from April 9th – April 11th. Let Molly A. know if you are going and need a place to stay.

Relay for Life: Relay is on April 10th!! This event does count for service hours, so be there! The Alpha Etas are doing a fundraiser called “Fight for a Cure” at Relay which will involve charging $1 to play with lightsabers. Email Crystal Z. if you have any additional fundraising ideas for Relay.

Formal: Formal, on April 16th, is quickly approaching!! If you haven’t RSVPed to Chris U. or Crystal Z. via email or Facebook, DO IT RIGHT NOW or you will not be guaranteed accommodations.

When you email him or her, let them know:

1. Are you planning on coming to Formal?
2. If yes, are you bringing a date?
3. If yes, what is the name of your date? (If you are still unsure, don’t worry about providing a name yet)
4. Are you planning on coming to dinner at 5pm or 6pm?

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: The back room of the Newport News Joe & Mimma’s has been reserved at 5pm and 6pm for dinner and the CNU Ballroom has been reserved for the dance. Molly A. is putting together a slideshow, which will be shown at the dance. Please send her pictures that you would like added to the mix!

Beach Clean Up: This event will take place on Saturday, April 17th at 11am. The beach we are going to is about a half hour away, and is connected to a park. Lauren C. will send out directions within the next couple weeks. More details will be given at our next meeting, but get excited now!!

Retreat: If you missed retreat, you missed out on lots of team building activities, crafts, and bonding time! Thanks to Kristina and Molly, we all had an amazing time.

MSA Fashion Show: Email monique.williams.07@cnu.edu by March 21st if you’d like to be a model! Participants will be modeling their own clothes, and the four categories for dress are: casual, beach, cultural, and formal. More information is located in the agenda. Please contact the host of the fashion show, Ashley C., with any questions.

Bun Bun Yum Yum: APO’s Easter Feast is THIS SUNDAY (March 28th) at Megan W.’s apartment from 3-5pm. Carpooling is encouraged. If you need a ride, contact Kelly C and she will either take you or find you a ride!

Big Paddles: The graduation committee is hoping to create a tradition in which brothers who have a big graduating will present the big with a paddle at senior send off. Paddles must be given to Megan W, Molly A/, or Hanna S. by April 9, 2010. If anyone has any questions please contact one of the ladies listed above.

They have determined the following criteria for paddles:

Must be on the Paddle:

- Alpha Phi Omega

- Alpha Delta Xi

- Name of graduate

- Graduation year

Optional:

- Any position held on e-board (ex: VP of Service) or honor received

- Graduate’s pledge class

“Kiss Me I’m Greek” Fundraiser: Demand for buttons exceeded supply in the OSA Office on Monday. The bad news is that some Greeks will not be able to receive their buttons until after St. Patrick’s Day, but the good news is that Christa H.’s idea was a total success and we will definitely be holding this fundraiser again next year! Continue telling your Greek friends to email Christa H. if they want to buy buttons, but warn them that their buttons may not be finished by Wednesday.

Reveal: If you can't make it to reveal, let Katelyn I. know by Wednesday.

Retreat: We're having our APO Day Retreat this Sunday from 1pm - 5pm in the Washington Room! Our regular Brotherhood Meeting will be held during the retreat so you will be free for the evening. We will have snacks but you should eat a meal prior to the event.

Habitat for Humanity & Murder Mystery: Canceled due to weather/ lack of interest. Please remember to RSVP to events so that events such as the Murder Mystery can actually happen next time. Email Chris U. if you have any good ideas for fellowship events.

Sectionals: If you are interested in attending Sectionals at UMBC on March 26-28 or Sectionals at GMU on April 9-11. You must register by March 19th. If you are interested in going to either, please e-mail Kristina N. ASAP, regardless of whether or not you have previously notified her.

Murder Mystery: Our Murder Mystery event will be held THIS THURSDAY at 8pm in the James River MPR. If you would like to attend this event, RSVP to Chris U. by Wednesday at 5pm!

“Kiss Me I’m Greek” Fundraiser: We have decided to make “Kiss Me I’m Greek” buttons, and sell them to Greek organizations during the week of St. Patrick’s Day (which is next week!). Amber B. will be contacting the presidents of each Greek organization about this event, but please help her get the word out by telling all your Greek friends! Email Christa H. if you are interested in helping her put the buttons together.

Habitat for Humanity: If you are one of the lucky 6 who is participating in this event, don’t forget to fill out your paperwork! This event is on March 13th (this Saturday!).

Conference on Captain’s Spirit: Bridget C. will be representing APO for this event on March 13th from 10am-2pm.

Webinars: APO webinars are accessible through the national fraternity website (http://www.apo.org/pages/show/Training_and_Events/APO_Impact/Live). The next webinar is on March 18th and will give information on the roles and responsibilities of chapter presidents, and will focus on skills that will be needed to run a healthy chapter. Please attend if you are interesting in holding Kristina’s position as APO president someday!

Sectionals: If you are interested in attending Sectionals 85/86 at UMBC on March 26-28 or Sectionals 82/83 at GMU on April 9-11. You must register by March 19th.

Flower Fundraiser: We will be selling individual flowers at a DSU table on March 22nd. Please email Bridget C. if you would like to help with this project.

Elections: Date has been pushed back to March 28th so that pledges can vote. Email Hanna S. if you have questions about nominations or the upcoming election.
